10. TECH PREP ARTICULATION AGREEMENTSDescription
This agreement is between Hillsborough Community College, Manatee Community College, Pasco-Hernando Community College, St. Petersburg College, Hernando County School District, School District of Hillsborough County, Manatee County District Schools, District School Board of Pasco County, School Board of Pinellas County and Sarasota District School in an effort to provide seamless articulation system for high school and adult technical students to continue their education at the technical center and community college level.

12. TRAINING PERSONNEL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE SARASOTA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE AND THE SCHOOL BOARD OF SARASOTA COUNTY, FLORIDADescription
This agreement is between the School Board of Sarasota County, Florida, by and through the Sarasota County Technical Institute, and the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office to provide Basic Recruit Training and the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Trust Fund Advanced and Specialized courses to students enrolled in the Sarasota Criminal Justice Academy through the Sarasota County Technical Institute. The terms of this agreement shall be effective as of July 1, 2007, and end June 30, 2008.

This coverage would be furnished by the Zurich Company through the HRH of Southwest Florida agency. The policy will provide the coverage, except for windstorm, required in Article 5, paragraph 5.1.1 (iv) of the construction manager's contract. Windstorm coverage will be full value on all structures except the classroom and administration buildings which will be limited to a total of $25,000,000.00.

Under the terms of the 6/20/2006 (Item #40) Board approved "Agreement between Owner and Construction Manager for Pre-Construction & Bidding Services", the Director of Construction Services and a member of the Professional Services Selection Committee (PSSC) have successfully negotiated a contract with W.G. Mills, Inc. for the Riverview High School project - Gym & Auditorium. This contract was negotiated on 8/20/2007. As indicated, the 6/20/2006 agreement included pre-construction and bidding services only. This Contract for Construction includes only construction of the auditorium, music rooms and gymnasium and associated work. A separate contract will be negotiated at a later date for the balance of the construction of this project. The Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP ) of this contract is $17,669,004.00. This contract, which is the standard document utilized for all of the District's construction contracts, is available for review at the Construction Services Department. The School Board attorney has approved the use of this GMP proposal acceptance form and contract. Funds for this contract are available in the project budget.

APPOINTMENT OF A CITIZEN TO THE OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE FOR THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT ON SCHOOL FACILITY PLANNINGDescription The Interlocal Agreement on School Facility Planning, Section 10, calls for each party to appoint a citizen representative to a committee with responsibility to monitor implementation of the ILA. School Board members were asked in July to nominate a citizen for consideration. Three individuals were nominated: (1) Mr. Dan DeLeo, an attorney and active member of the 2006-07 Capital Advisory Task Force; (2) Mr. Norm Lupo, a Venice resident active in governmental affairs; and (3) Mrs. Janice Mee, retired School Board member.
